Preheat oven to 375 and place wire rack in the middle of oven. Grease an 8x8 baking dish
In a medium size bowl combine all the topping ingredients and mix until crumbly texture. I used my hands. Then place in the fridge.
Slice the apples in thin slices and toss with the lemon, cinnamon, and sugar.
Spread the apples evenly in the pan and then crumble over the topping
Place in the middle rack of the oven cooking for about 45 minutes until the crumble is toasty brown
Let cool for a few minutes and serve. You can spoon out some of the additional liquid from the apples if desired. Store the leftovers in the refrigerator
