I have been a long time fan of the classic s’more, but I have really enjoyed finding new spins on this campfire treat. I have so many memories of going camping, and every single camping trip my favorite activity was roasting s’mores. Anything s’mores always brings back those childhood memories which is why I enjoy creating s’mores recipes, especially this one! This s‘mores pizookie is just pure heaven in your mouth. It is rich, sweet, and has everything you could ever want in a dessert. When it comes hot out of the oven with the toasty marshmallows and melty chocolate, that is my favorite time to indulge in this sweet treat. I think this might just be my new favorite pizookie.
It starts with a layer of graham crackers. This is such a simple way to add the graham cracker taste and texture to this pizookie. Be sure to buy gluten free graham crackers if you want to keep this recipe gluten free friendly. On top of the layer of graham cracker goes a layer of cookie dough. This is what gives it the cookie part to the pizookie. After you cook the graham crackers and cookie, I added a layer of dark chocolate chips and marshmallows. You put that back in the oven to melt the chocolate and make those marshmallows nice and toasted like a classic s’more. Then all you need is a couple spoons before you go to town.
I love s‘mores so much! They are absoultley one of my favorite desserts. It feels like such a summer time treat until you make it in a cast iron skillet. Then you can have it all year long. I did not top this particular pizookie with anything because it is pretty sweet, but you could definitely add a few scoops of ice cream.
I just had to include a s‘mores pizookie in my pizookie series happening on instagram and I am so glad I did. Hope yall check out the other Pizookies on the blog as well, and be sure to give them a try!
ENJOY!
